Product Overview
The Static Var Generator (SVG) works by connecting a voltage source converter in parallel to the power grid through a filter. By adjusting the amplitude and phase of the AC output voltage of the converter, it dynamically and accurately compensates for reactive power in the power grid system. The transient response time is less than 50µs and the full response time is less than 10ms, avoiding over-compensation and under-compensation.
